Ultrasonic Sensors for Sanitary Environments

June 4, 2009
U-Gage M25U opposed-mode ultrasonic sensor pairs are specifically designed for use in sanitary environments.

The sensors are rated IP69K, IP67 (NEMA 6) and are constructed of heavy-duty 316 stainless steel. A smooth barrel housing—free of threads, gaps or seams that could collect debris—is designed to allow thorough clean-up with minimal effort. The sensors can be wired for either normal speed for longer sensing range or high speed for shorter response time. Applications include presence detection of clear or colored containers during sanitizing, food process monitoring, position monitoring and aseptic bottling in contained environments  A wide operating temperature range of -20°C to +70°C can withstand sprays up to 80°C and 1500psi occurring every few hours.
