Advantech’s Industrial Automation Group introduces the TPC-8100TR Touch Panel Computer designed for use in extreme conditions associated with the railway industry.

The TPC-8100TR is a 10.4” EN50155/T3 compliant Touch Panel Computer designed to withstand the shock and vibration requirements necessary for use on the railway system.  To ensure moisture and water does not affect the TPC-8100TR; the outside casing has been built with an IP65 certification and comes with waterproof M12 connectors and an optically bonded screen.  Internally, the boards and other components have been coated with Conformal to ensure that moisture will not affect them as well.

To connect easily to existing train components, there are a range of ports with Ethernet, serial, and USB interfaces includes as well as a CFast module.   The power supply has a 10ms interruption, conforming to EN50155,S2, to protect it against over/short electrical currents.  Lastly, there are numerous programmable keys on the bezel to allow the user to have better control.
