Wieland Electric Inc., a leading global manufacturer of innovative electrical interconnect technology, has updated the housing design of its proven revos BASIC Series rectangular connectors with enhanced corrosion resistance, extending performance benefits to a variety of harsh environment applications.

“The enhanced design of the new revos BASIC Series connector housing not only increased their corrosion resistance, significantly extending the number and type of applications they can be employed in, but also made them more aesthetically appealing,” said Martin Lalonde, Application Engineer at Wieland Electric. “In addition, integral insulation in the housing means that they accept all revosBASIC inserts. This drastically reduces the number of variants, and makes it easier than ever to specify and stock these connectors.”

Wieland’s revos BASIC Series connector housings are available with plain threads or strain relief cable glands for environmental sealing against dust, water ingress, and direct spray. Standard versions of the connectors provide IP54 and IP65 environmental protection.
