DESTACO, the industry’s leading, global provider of high-performance automation and workholding solutions, today launched a new line of durable and cost-effective CAMCO HDE and MDE series indexers, ideal for continuous operation in automotive and packaging applications.

Tested to over 3 million cycles, the new series delivers maintenance-free operation for up to five years with industry leading torque ratings to support large dynamic payloads.

“If your application requires high-volume, high-speed indexing then reliability and low maintenance are driving your decision making process, and this is where our new indexers fit,” said Gary Labadie, DESTACO global product manager for automation. “The new indexers have been rigorously tested under extreme conditions with combined maximum moment, load and speed to ensure long-term operation without derating, making for a reliable and cost-effective automation solution.”

The DESTACO CAMCO MDE and HDE series of zero-backlash indexers are factory configured with SEW and NORD drive packages, and large space-saving center openings, allowing users to route fixtures and utilities through the interior of the indexer. Other features and benefits include:

· High, dynamic axial loads, ranging from 3,200 kg to 14,455 kg

· Safe E-stop capability in 330 ms for safer operations

· Torque capacities ranging from 8,350 Nm to 27,500 Nm

· Indexing accuracy of +/-11 arcseconds

· Indexing repeatability of +/-3 arcseconds

The HDE series indexers feature a unique flex-mount housing, which can be scaled for both width and height to fit new and existing assembly line requirements. The open base frame eliminates the need for a riser table. The HDE series includes both AC brake motors and servo drive package options.

The low-profile MDE series includes quick-access, field-replaceable cam followers and maintenance-free operation for up to five years. Both vertical and horizontal payload applications are supported, and the series can be surface mounted in either orientation without the need for spacers.
