Maker of monitoring and motion systems for assembly and test applications has a physical presence in 23 countries and aggressive growth plans.

Promess, Inc. has completed construction of a new, 25,000 square foot manufacturing facility on its current headquarter campus located in Brighton Michigan. This new facility "will help Promess to meet its current record-setting product demands," says President Glenn Nausley.

Promess is a manufacturer of turnkey monitoring and motion systems used in a wide variety of assembly and test applications around the world. Promess delivers the complete system including the mechanics, control electronics, all the sensors, amplifiers and software. Promess also provides pre-project application engineering assistance, installation support and training services.

“This is the third phase of an ambitious building program conceived by founder Larry Stockline shortly after he started the company,” said Nausley. “The original 12,000 square foot building was erected in 1986 and expanded to 17,000 square feet in 1991 and 25,000 square feet in 1998. Larry envisioned the completed campus as a showcase of both efficiency and environmental responsibility, and we have always strived to meet both goals."

The newly constructed facility includes space for research and development activities as well as manufacturing and associated functions. “Equally important, it will minimize our carbon footprint through a variety of energy-saving ‘green’ features, which is also in keeping with Larry’s original vision,” Nausley added.

Promess has a physical presence in 23 countries and aggressive growth plans for North and South America, and Europe. "With the doubling of our facilities in the U.S and Germany, and the expansion of our presence in Mexico and Brazil, Promess is poised to continue its growth well into the future, Nausley said. “Completion of this project is a clear demonstration of our optimism about the future of manufacturing and our role in supporting that future with real-time assembly and functional testing technologies. We’re building on a solid foundation laid down almost 30 years ago and following a plan that has taken Promess from a small niche supplier to a global leader in force, torque and motion control technologies.”
