BSA | The Software Alliance announced that Rockwell Automation, which provides software solutions for manufacturing and other industrial systems, has joined BSA as a global member to participate in anti-piracy and advocacy initiatives, with a particular focus on Asia and the Americas.

“Software sales and licensing is a fast-growing part of our business internationally, so it is a great fit for us to be part of BSA,” said Rockwell Automation Vice President and Chief Intellectual Property Counsel John Miller. “We share many of the same interests and concerns that other big software companies face in curbing piracy and ensuring we have access to important growth markets. We look forward to working with BSA and its other members on anti-piracy and advocacy efforts around the world.”

“As one of the largest makers of industrial control systems, Rockwell Automation is a great addition to BSA’s membership,” said Matt Reid, BSA Senior Vice President for External Affairs. “We are thrilled to be working with the team at Rockwell to combat software piracy, protect intellectual property and promote technology innovation in the rapidly evolving international marketplace.”
