Balluff Inc., a leading sensor specialist and system provider, is pleased to announce the appointment of Tony Canonaco as President effective May 1, 2015 and CEO effective August 1, 2015.

Balluff Inc., a leading sensor specialist and system provider, is pleased to announce the appointment of Tony Canonaco as President effective May 1, 2015 and CEO effective August 1, 2015. Kent Howard, previous President and CEO, is transitioning into retirement and will move into the role of advisor to the President and Board of Directors.

Tony Canonaco joins Balluff with over 25 years of sales and leadership experience in the field of industrial automation. "I am excited to join Balluff and build on their history of success by delivering for their customers, employees, and partners," stated Canonaco. "The opportunities that lie ahead for Balluff are tremendous and the ability to lead this next phase is an honor as well as incredibly exhilarating".

Commenting on Canonaco's appointment, Florian Hermle, Balluff’s Global Managing Director and Owner, stated, "We look forward to benefitting from Tony's diverse experiences as we continue to enhance and build upon our successful position in the market and strengthen our focus on strategic growth."

Kent Howard added, "We all welcome Tony into this new position at Balluff and look forward to a smooth transition as we continue to expand the business in the United States."

Canonaco most recently worked at Omron as General Manager and Vice President of Sales for Canada. He also previously held positions at Danaher Motion, Bosch Rexroth, and Eaton in various leadership capacities. Canonaco received his MBA from Capital University and his Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Dayton.
