Franz Binder GmbH & Co. Elektrische Bauelemente KG is a market leader in the area of circular connectors for industrial applications. As an owner-operated family enterprise, we place values such as reliability, trust and honesty at the center of our corporate philosophy.

Since its founding by Franz Binder in a small wooden hut in 1960, the company has steadily developed and today is a globally active specialist in circular connectors. Realizing individual customer wishes is one of our greatest strengths. In addition to industrial connectors, our range of products includes connectors for the sensor, automation and medical technology industries. LED lighting rounds out our product portfolio. Signaling systems and agricultural and construction machinery are just a few of the sectors in which binder products can be found.

General Manager Markus Binder says: “We’re continuing our steady development, and we’re implementing modern structures, because if you aren’t moving forward, you’re going backwards.” In the company’s strategic direction over the next five years, he sees the basis for a positive future in which the potential of the entire binder Group is mobilized even more than it is presently. In concrete terms, this means increasingly investing in new markets – for example, in medical technology, transport technology, the food processing industry, and agricultural and construction machinery.

At the beginning of 2016, all of binder’s subsidiaries and affiliated companies underwent a corporate restructuring. Markus Binder explains: “By taking this necessary step, we have achieved a unified market presence. This underscores our international orientation and conveys the magnitude of the entire binder Group.”

The binder Group includes eight subsidiaries and five affiliated companies. A workforce of 700 is employed at the company headquarters in Neckarsulm, Germany, and 1,400 workers are employed worldwide. In addition to its German locations, binder operates sites in Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, France, the UK, the Netherlands, Sweden, China, Singapore and the USA.

Nationally and internationally, all binder subsidiaries and affiliated companies share a unified corporate identity that projects a clear, modern, highquality
image. All of our trade fair appearances are consistent in style and all brochures come from the same source. The common thread is ever-present.

We are firmly focused on development, strategy, internationality and the future. Yet our values of honesty, trust and reliability remain unshakeable. To put it another way: think globally, act locally.
