Solid-State Relays

March 8, 2011
Weidmuller introduces the new TERMOPTO solid-state family of relays- electrical isolation in the size of a terminal block.

The innovative TERMOPTO functions as both a terminal block for signal connection, and a relay to separate signals, all in one compact module. With a width of just 6 mm, the TERMOPTO provides proven optocoupler technology in miniature form for significant space savings in the control cabinet.

Weidmuller's TERMOPTO solid-state relays offer an extended service life and increased reliability over standard electro-mechanical relays often used for signal isolation. They feature electrically isolated, wear-free semiconductor switches (optocouplers) with extensive suppressor circuits that guarantee a high level of operating dependability. Outputs up to 500mA can be reliably switched over a long lifetime, reducing maintenance and optimizing machine up time. For easy and quick trouble shooting, TERMOPTO relays are equipped with integrated LEDs for status indication.

Available with either screw clamp or Weidmuller's Push-in connection technology, the TERMOPTO relays offer flexibility for a full range of application needs. A choice of 60 different versions include standard input voltages from 5-230VAC and DC, with 3 optional output voltages of 5-48 VDC and 0.1mA, 5 - 48 VDC and 0.5mA, or 24 - 230VAC with 0.1mA.

Weidmuller's TERMOPTO solid-state relays have a temperature rating of -20ºC to + 60ºC, ensuring reliable operation in a wide range of applications. They are DIN-rail mountable and CE and cULus approved.
