Offshore-certified Ethernet Switches

Nov. 5, 2009
Fifteen products in the 100/1000 Series of Unmanaged Ethernet Switches, 100/1000 Series of Unmanaged Media Converters, and 700 Series of Managed Ethernet Switches have received Type Approval Certification from Det Norske Veritas (DNV).

DNV is a member of the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS), an independent organization dedicated to maritime safety and regulation through technical support, compliance verification, and research and development. “DNV Certification is globally recognized as a symbol of quality for safeguarding life, property and the environment in offshore industrial applications,” said Warren Nicholson, CEO and President at the vendor. “DNV Type Approval Certification further validates [our] commitment to the design and manufacturing of robust and reliable products for use in offshore, process control and other industrial environments.”
