Compact, 960-watt Power Supplies

March 13, 2007
As the latest addition to the vendor’s NV family of AC-DC power supplies, the NV-700 series can supply up to 960 watts.
The NV-700 series is built on the vendor’s patented MRT (multiple resonant topology), designed to use synchronous rectification to achieve high efficiency and allow significantly reduced power loss without compromising size for power. Units measure a compact 1.6x4.92x10.8 inches—making them compatible with 1U enclosures—and accept all existing and newly-developed NV power modules, enhancing the series’ flexibility with up to eight outputs. Input voltage ranges from 90 to 265VAC, 45-63Hz with active power factor correction.  The supplies deliver 700 watts at 115VAC input and 960 watts when the input voltage is greater than 150VAC. NV-700 power supplies are available with nominal outputs of 3.3, 5, 12, 15, 24 and 28 volts and with currents up to 40 amps. The NV-700 is priced at $438 each in 100-unit quantities.
