Plant Resource Manager (PRM) 2.05 is the latest release of the vendor’s asset management software that integrates and manages maintenance information from field instruments, monitors online conditions and records historical data for streamlined maintenance operations.
The PRM 2.05 release adds a number of new features. An optional advanced diagnostics package provides an environment to periodically execute diagnosis of field devices. A new device template bundles default settings of each field device type, which the vendor says can drastically save time and effort spent populating the device database. Release 2.05 also provides remote access using the Terminal Services of the Windows 2000/2003 Server. The interface to the vendor’s Network Control System, Stardom, can be connected to PRM 2.05, while the new release also is time synchronized with the time master of the control highway.
