As the newest member of the vendor’s Micropulse family of rod-style cylinder transducers, the ProSet4 offers a new option for cylinder position sensing, with four built-in programmable set point outputs for detection of end-of-stroke or any position in between.
Useful for positioning duties on injection molding machines, woodworking equipment, packaging machinery and presses, the ProSet4’s discrete set point outputs provide four possible switching modes: on-off, off-on, on-off-on and off-on-off. The ProSet4 provides flexible operation using discrete I/O instead of more costly analog control inputs. It has two programming options—local, using a programming tool, or remote, using teach-in connections. The ProSet4 installs just like a traditional magnetostrictive displacement transducer in probe-ready, steel-walled cylinders.
