Easier Robot Programming

Oct. 1, 2003
Intended for use with handling and assembly automation applications, the CS8 and compact CS8M robot controllers offer a new operating system, as well as VAL3, a new generation robot programming language.

VAL3 handles a major part of the inherent complexity of robotic technology, making programming and tuning simpler and faster, the vendor says. The CS8 also features enhanced communication capabilities, including compatibility with major industrial field bus standards such as CANopen, DeviceNet, Interbus, Modbus and Profibus DP. The CS8 is built with all digital technology, and all connectors are located on the front and protected by a single cabinet door.
