Industry-specific Smart Cameras

Aug. 14, 2007
Six new versions of the vendor’s IVC-2D and IVC-3D Smart Cameras are available. The expanded product families are now able to handle more industry-specific applications.
The IVC-2D Reader adds flexibility, now with the ability to read bar codes, 2D data matrix codes and do OCR and optical character verification (OCV). The system is available in both high- and standard-resolution versions. The IVC-2D R has all the functionality of the standard IVC-2D with a lower cost processor.
The IVC 3D-30 is a short-range 3D camera designed for very detailed inspection applications, and is capable of measurements down to 15 microns. The IVC-3D-300 is a long-range version of the 3D Smart Camera, with a longer stand-off distance and larger field that is specially designed for applications in the material handling and logistics markets. Using plastic lensing instead of the standard glass, the IVC-3D-50 and the IVC-3D-200 make direct inspection of food products possible without using enclosures. These models provide the same performance as the glass lens models while conforming to the food and beverage industry requirement of no glass used during the inspection of food products.
