IMI plc, the international engineering solutions group, is enhancing the capabilities of its fluid power subsidiary, Norgren, through the acquisition of Analytical Flow Products (AFP).

Founded in Quebec in 2007 by Yves Gamache and André Fortier, AFP manufactures an extensive range of precision fluid control products, including a family of highly specialized diaphragm valves critical to chromatography (separation sciences) as well as a broad range of other analytical platforms.

The acquisition of AFP is highly complementary with other Norgren businesses, including Norgren Kloehn and Fluid Automation Systems, serving OEMs and end users in life sciences, energy and industrial markets. AFP’s technical leadership and Norgren’s global commercial footprint and long industry experience combine to give these users access to advanced analytical valves, industrial valves, rotary actuators and accessories, as well as custom engineered fluid control components and assemblies.

Yves Gamache and other AFP employees will stay with the company and customers may continue to do business through the usual AFP channels during the transition.
