Technology partnerships are all the rage today. Here is one between a French and an Austrian company.
Schneider Electric announced the next step in the technology partnership with B&R Automation to develop key product innovations. Schneider Electric will expand its line of machine controller and input/output (I/O) systems by utilizing products and technology from B&R Automation. In the first step of cooperation, B&R gained access to variable frequency drive technology from Schneider. Elie Belbel, Schneider Electric's OEM Solutions Senior Vice President commented, "Helping our customers reduce complexity across all aspects of their machine lifecycle is critical and providing them with simple, easy to use machine and business solutions is our objective. Using and adapting industry leading technology is one of the key factor that will ensure our customers receive the most innovative and optimised machine control solution on the market."Hans Wimmer, Managing Director of B&R, stated "Our continuous development is characterized by new and innovative products that have a decisive effect on automation trends.
