Posital has updated its line of IXARC programmable incremental rotary encoders to deliver fractional pulse rates. They can also be set up to deliver pulse rates that are not even multiples of the rotation number. Posital’s IXARC encoders make use of magnetic sensing and are available with IP66/67 rated environmental protection. They also feature high shock and vibration resistance. Able to fit into most systems, a variety of options are available for shaft type and diameter, flange and casting types, materials and level of environmental protection. Communications interfaces are programmable, with push-pull or RS422 outputs available. Performance parameters can be reconfigured on-site using Posital’s Ubifast programming tool.
