Emerson Provides AI-Enabled Guidance for DeltaV
Emerson has introduced the Guardian Virtual Advisor to support end-to-end DCS lifecycle management. Emerson’s Guardian Virtual Advisor combines AI with Emerson’s domain expertise to help customers evaluate and enhance the performance of their automation systems.
For more than two decades, Emerson’s Guardian Digital Platform has accumulated a vast repository of troubleshooting information, but searching articles and reference documents is a manual approach that slows down quick responses to developing issues related to system maintenance or managing security updates or new software releases.
Guardian Virtual Advisor was developed to address this through an intuitive, AI-powered application where users can enter natural language questions and receive an easy-to-understand answers as well as links to appropriate reference documents.
Guardian Virtual Advisor can currently be used to manage DeltaV distributed control systems. Emerson plans to extend its use to other Emerson automation platforms, such as AMS and Ovation. Guardian Virtual Advisor is available to subscribers of Emerson’s product support through the Guardian Digital Platform.
