UniSim Live’s capabilities are helping Borealis detect and mitigate issues that can impact plant performance

Austria-based Borealis Group will build process models for optimizing operations through virtual process simulation using Honeywell’s UniSim Live software, Honeywell announced in early February.

Through this collaboration between the two companies, Honeywell will build on its Abnormal Situation Management consortium efforts to improve plant safety and reliability.

The UniSim Live software allows users to “extend the utility of process models to near real-time process monitoring and focus on early event detection” to improve plant reliability through digital twins, Control reported.
