ROSS CONTROLS® is very pleased to announce that it acquired the assets of the Detroit Coil Company, known in the marketplace as DECCO®, on December 30, 2011.
ROSS CONTROLS and DECCO each have an unmatched reputation for innovative design and manufacturing solutions and trace their origins to Detroit's roaring 20s and prior. In fact, the history of these two companies has been intertwined as DECCO has supplied components to ROSS for many decades.
ROSS, ISO-certified and headquartered in Troy, Michigan, designs and manufactures precision pneumatic valves, control systems and related products. Since 1921, ROSS has offered these products to the general fluid power industry and industries as diverse as metal forming, aluminum, glass container, steel and safety. ROSS reaches its global customer base via facilities located in Madison Heights, Michigan, Lavonia, Georgia, Europe, Asia and India. In addition to its highly specialized and technically trained internal sales team, ROSS utilizes a worldwide network of more than 140 distributors.
DECCO, with a history dating to 1912, manufactures high quality coils and solenoids for a broad range of industry-specific applications. DECCO maintains offices in Ferndale, Michigan and operates a coil winding facility in Frankfort, Michigan and a screw machining facility in Benzonia, Michigan.
Growth and opportunity lie ahead. DECCO expands ROSS' product portfolio and provides additional avenues for expansion into electronics. For DECCO, the ROSS group provides access to new and untapped global markets.
Over the next several months, teams will be working to optimize the collective strengths of these two outstanding companies. For more about ROSS and DECCO, please visit the www.rosscontrols.com and www.detroitcoil.com.
