Behavioral Recognition Systems, Inc. (BRS Labs), creator of the world-renowned artificial intelligence software AISight, announced a $5.2M USD software order as part of Brazil's infrastructure modernization project securing the upcoming world soccer games. This contract with the Brazil government is to deploy BRS Labs' intelligent video analytics software that autonomously learns and identifies unusual or suspicious behavior in video surveillance operations initially in Brasilia and then throughout Brazil. AISight is currently deployed and operational at the Integrated Management Center to provide enhanced security and emergency management operations in support of the upcoming 2014 Games taking place June 12th through July 13th, 2014.
"The Brazilian government has now deployed the most advanced video surveillance analytics available. This project demonstrates how BRS Labs' intelligent video surveillance software has again created a paradigm shift from reactive to proactive awareness in public safety and security."
Managing Director for BRS Labs in Brazil, Leonardo Scudere, said, "AISight has already been deployed at Brazil's integrated management center and will provide proactive insights to identify potential threats sooner and enhance overall security and emergency management services throughout the upcoming games and beyond." Mr. Scudere added, "AISight's patented groundbreaking real-time threat recognition is central to the advanced data analytics strategy being implemented here. Data-driven operations that help human operators work more efficiently and effectively through artificial intelligence and real time threat recognition is the future of security and emergency management operations."
AISight operates seamlessly across Brazil's multiple locations and scales to thousands of video cameras, making it the only practical solution for this large-scale deployment of intelligent video analytics. AISight actually teaches itself and learns what is normal behavior for thousands of objects in each camera's view and then delivers real-time alerts identifying unusual or suspicious behavior directly to Brazilian Security Officials. This self-learning, smarter approach helps security operators make better, faster safety and security decisions without being overwhelmed with large numbers of non-critical alerts.
John Frazzini, President of BRS Labs, added, "The Brazilian government has now deployed the most advanced video surveillance analytics available. This project demonstrates how BRS Labs' intelligent video surveillance software has again created a paradigm shift from reactive to proactive awareness in public safety and security." Mr. Frazzini further added, "We believe this initial order of eventual deployments exceeding $25m USD in Brazil demonstrates the transformative and disruptive nature of our software in the security industry. This is yet another high-profile, high-dollar validation of AISight's unmatched ability to protect citizens and critical infrastructure throughout the world."
