Automation Solutions of America (ASA) Inc. announced that it has received the annual Service Excellence Award from ARPAC LLC, an Illinois-based manufacturer of packaging machinery. ASA also won recognition as one of ARPAC’s Gold Suppliers for 2014, the fourth consecutive year it has earned that distinction.

“We are honored to receive these prestigious awards, and we are proud of the role Automation Solutions of America has played in ARPAC’s continued success,” said Shawn Sullivan, President Automation Solutions of America. “We look forward to continuing our relationship with ARPAC in 2015 and finding additional ways to apply our innovative solutions and expertise.” Each year, ARPAC designates a small number of its vendors as Gold Suppliers, selecting companies whose services provide significant contributions toward ARPAC’s growth. Gold Suppliers receive their awards at an annual banquet, during which ARPAC names one supplier as the winner of the year’s Service Excellence Award.

Automation Solutions of America also earned the 2014 Service Excellence Award through the contributions of Brian Smidesang, project engineer, and Tom Francik, controls engineer, who assisted ARPAC with an equipment start-up project at a critical time. ASA was nominated for the award by ARPAC’s Director of Engineering Jim Barry, who referred to ASA’s engineers as “Two ninja programmers who came in and did an amazing job for us.”

2014 is the fourth year in a row that ASA has been named one of ARPAC’s Gold Suppliers, having earned a special distinction as the only company to earn Gold Supplier status in its first year as an ARPAC vendor. ASA builds more than 400 control panels each year for ARPAC’s stretch wrapping systems, which are used to wrap pallets and other loads for customers in a variety of industries, including construction, household care, and personal care.
