Feb. 9, 2016
ASCO Numatics, a business unit of Emerson, announced today it will begin doing business as ASCO, effective February 9, 2016.

The name change recognizes the company’s capabilities to globally deliver the industry’s widest range of fluid automation solutions with unmatched speed, reliability, and performance.

“As we look into the future of manufacturing and processing, we see a convergence of fluid control and fluid power applications that will require comprehensive suites of fluid automation products that create higher-value solutions for customers,” said Bob Kemple, Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing, ASCO. “Only ASCO has the innovative technology, cross-application expertise, and global scale that can help customers maximize efficiencies, optimize applications, and transform their ideas into measurable outcomes.”

The company said the ASCO name will leverage the power of its renowned ASCO and Numatics brands to better serve customers while simplifying the way it does business.

“Adopting ASCO as our trading name acknowledges our ability to create fluid automation solutions that address the industry’s broadest spectrum of market and application needs—from oil and gas to packaging to analytical and medical devices—and fulfill them anywhere in the world,” said Kemple. “We’re thinking ahead and anticipating what’s next to solve customer problems, share best practices, and create solutions that work better. As a globally diversified technology leader backed by the power of Emerson, the ASCO brand represents an exciting opportunity to help customers invent the future, transform their businesses, and shape a more productive world,” he said.

The company said the transition to the ASCO name will be made on a global basis. It will not affect customer purchasing processes or sales channels. For more information, contact ASCO at 800-972-ASCO (2726), by e-mail at [email protected], or visit www.asco.com/FluidAutomation.
