Overcome Level Detection Challenges

Dec. 1, 2009
The PT4500 and PT4510 submersible pressure transmitters are optimized for detecting the level of water or other media with similar density in challenging industrial environments, including wastewater and irrigation systems, as well as tanks containing liquids such as gas and diesel.
The PT4510 was designed for low-level applications of up to 400 inches, while the PT4500 is available in ranges up to 100psig. To deliver accurate level detection, a transmitter is placed at the bottom of the tank holding the liquid, and the transmitter converts the pressure reading to an analog 4-20mA output signal. The electrical connection to the transmitter is routed through the top of the tank and contains power and signal wires. These IP 68-rated, stainless steel pressure transmitters carry UL/cUL 913 approval for use in Class I, Division 1, Groups C and D locations when installed with an approved barrier.
