For standard industrial environments, the Simatic Panel PC 577 is equipped with a 2.4GHz Pentium 4 processor and RAM that can be expanded to 3GB.

A USB 2.0 port is integrated into the front of the unit for quick data storage. The Panel PC 577 is also equipped with an Ethernet port. The Simatic Panel PC 477 is designed for use in rugged applications. It works without rotating fans or hard disks, making it well-suited for maintenance-free operations. The Panel PC 477 is available with a variety of Pentium processors up to 933MHz. Two Ethernet ports, three USB 2.0 ports, one COM1 port, one VGA port and an MPI/Profibus connection are integrated into the unit. An expandable, compact design and shallow 75mm installation depth also make the Panel PC477 suitable where space is at a premium.
