Enclosures Without Corners

June 1, 2004
Manufacturers who wish to differentiate themselves will find that ability with Rolled Edge Enclosures. By using a technique for forming radius edges and roll-formed sides for custom metal enclosures, the vendor says it can supply virtually any shape imaginable at a cost only slightly higher than that of conventional, square corner enclosures.

Primary applications include computer work stations, in either freestanding, desktop, pedestal or pendant mounted configurations. The soft-edged, “elbow-friendly” design is well-suited for application in pharmaceutical and lab-based environments. Other applications include instrumentation packaging in which ergonomics and form-function considerations are important, such as operator stations, data loggers, CNC control stations and portable testing equipment.
