EVOC Group (www.evoc.com), a Shenzhen, China, maker of embedded and industrial computers, was among the winners of Brand China Huapu Awards.
Nearly 10,000 were in attendance in Qingdao, China, on Aug. 8 at the award ceremonies sponsored by the Brand China Industry Union (BCIU).
“Huapu” in Chinese literally denotes facial make-up of China, meaning face of China. Given once a year, Huapu Awards are bestowed upon Chinese enterprises that boast independent innovation capability and self-owned brands.
EVOC Group was one of two high-tech enterprises from Shenzhen to win a “Fast-growing Trailblazer” award at this year’s event. Great Wall Computer, a computer maker affiliated with the central government, was the other. Also on the list of award winners were Great Wall Motors, an automotive manufacturer, Mengniu Group, a dairy products manufacturer and Geely Group, a manufacturer of scooters and motorcycles.
