Pepperl+Fuchs and Everphone have entered into a strategic partnership in which explosion-protected mobile devices will be available through Everphone’s device-as-a-service (DaaS) model.

Pepperl+Fuchs devices are designed for frontline use and meet certification requirements such as IP68 and MIL-STD-810H.

Everphone's DaaS model allows industrial and energy companies to centralize management of all their tablets and smartphones, including those used in hazardous environments. Through Everphone, these devices can now be rented as needed with lifecycle management, staging and free device replacement in case of damage included.

The following devices from the Pepperl+Fuchs mobile product line are now available through Everphone:

Everphone’s DaaS offering includes a range of accessories for industrial use from USB-C connectors for connecting external displays to the Bluetooth-enabled RSM-Ex 01 BT Z0 remote speaker microphone for safe use in high-noise environments.

The partnership aims to simplify mobile work in industrial environments from plant maintenance and quality assurance to real-time data collection, according to the companies. Tasks that previously required a clipboard, flashlight, radio and measuring device can now be consolidated into a single rugged mobile device.
