Founded in Japan in 1885, Oriental Motor has been developing and manufacturing fractional horsepower precision motors and electronic circuits for motion control as part of the Oriental Motor Total Service experience, to meet the demands of today’s global market. Oriental Motor began with handmade 1/8 HP single-phase commutator motors. Today, Oriental Motor offers products in six distinct motion control product groups: stepper motors, servo motors, standard AC motors, speed control motors, linear/rotary actuators and cooling systems.
Since our success in standardizing compact motors, we have been developing products to accommodate all kinds of motion requirement. Copiers in the 60’s, personal computers in the 70’s, ATM’s and floppy disk drives in the 80’s, semiconductor manufacturing equipment in the 90’s, and digitization and environmentalism in recent years.
